Courchevel: from Friday 4 December 2026
The Courchevel ski area opens on 4 December 2026, with Courchevel Village, Moriond and La Tania following from 5 December. Courchevel is part of Les 3 Vallées, which open progressively depending on snow cover.
Megève: first weekend on 5 and 6 December 2026
Megève offers a partial opening on the weekend of 5 and 6 December 2026, a progressive opening from 12 December and a full opening on 19 December 2026. Closing is announced for 4 April 2027.
All dates are published by the resorts and remain subject to snow conditions.
Why the first weekend matters
Opening weekend is a connoisseurs' rendezvous: freshly groomed snow without the Christmas crowds, reopening hotels and mountain restaurants, new winter collections in resort boutiques, owners returning to their chalets.
