The Guardians of Creation

Patrick Freiburghaus, architect of invisible forms. For more than twenty years, his vision has traced paths where none existed, with the absolute patience of one who knows that the most powerful forms are not found: they impose themselves. EMERA is his vision made flesh. “What has no form yet already exists.”

Cyrano Devanthey, guardian of living calibres. More than three decades spent in the silence of the workshops, at the heart of the most demanding complications of haute horlogerie. Discreet, absolute, uncompromising, he lets the heart of the movement speak in his place. “Every component has a will. The watchmaker’s art is knowing when to listen to it.”

Quentin Hoerdt, sculptor of infinite light. He carries EMERA onto the digital stage. His mastery of photorealistic rendering and creative direction turns the image into a material, and time into a surface to be sculpted. “This is no longer haute horlogerie. It is what survives time.”

The artefact: when the movement becomes the case

The organic, the mechanical, the architectural: three ancient forces that carry within them the memory of the dawn of time. From their inevitable union, the CYBORG CY 06-1 is born.

It is not a machine. It is a three-dimensional structure in which the movement does not breathe inside the case: it is the case. Four sapphire crystals follow its geometry and lay bare the inner workings of the movement:

• a domed sapphire shield on the upper side;
• two curved sapphires on the underside;
• a fourth crystal, on the side at 6 o’clock, opening onto the flying tourbillon as it completes its silent revolution in sixty seconds.

The living armour and the carapace

The dial is an armour of 42 hand-applied carbon scales, an evolving skin. This biomimicry captures the light of dying suns and fragments it endlessly.

Around it, a bezel set with 21 white diamonds (VVS clarity, approximately 2.00 ct in total) acts as a stellar guide. It traces the geometry of a balance that seems to defy gravity.

The strap is not an accessory: it is the organic extension of the case. A second skin in Sidéral White rubber, it is sculpted with engraved chevrons that evoke the scales of a creature from another world. The gold pin buckle seals the almost wild pact between the beast and its wearer, between precious metal and flesh.

The eye of the storm and inner balance

At the centre of the chaos beats a 60-second flying tourbillon: 51 components weighing 0.35 grams. A silent beat integrated into the open architecture, this mechanical singularity dictates the passing of eras.

It is driven by the MRA 01-2 automatic calibre, conceived in the House’s secret forges. It does not beat, it resonates, at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), with a power reserve of approximately 44 hours.

Its mainplate and bridges in grade 5 titanium, combined with the gold of the oscillating weight, form a system of controlled internal stresses. A fragile yet indestructible balance, born of human hands in Swiss workshops, where time is a religion.

The Order of Five

Only five pieces will exist, for eternity, each bearing a unique natural variation. The price of the exceptional: CHF 625,000 excluding VAT.

Owning a CYBORG is not acquiring an object. It is entering into a direct pact with EMERA: a bond that includes lifetime watchmaking follow-up and direct access to the Guardians of Creation, its founders and artisans. The warranty is international and lifelong.

The CYBORG CY 06-1 is not for sale: it is accessed through an encounter. EMERA personally selects each of the five buyers. This is not a transaction, it is a mutual recognition between the House and those who understand what they hold in their hands.

Swiss Manufacture, 100%. Design, assembly and final quality control are carried out in-house; machining is entrusted to renowned Swiss watchmaking partners. Finishing is shared between the in-house workshops and carefully selected master artisans in bevelling and polishing, with each piece entirely finished by hand.
