The market and its calendar
As an indication, the Eguisheim Christmas market runs every day from 26 November to 29 December 2026, except 25 December. Chalets are set around the castle square and in the neighbouring lanes. We reconfirm opening hours with the tourist office before every programme.
Birthplace of Pope Leo IX, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France and voted France’s favourite village in 2013, Eguisheim is small: a few hundred metres take you all the way round. That is its charm, and it is also why crowds are quickly felt.
