The opportunity :
AC PRIVATE, a luxury concierge and high-end private services house, is strengthening its Art & Collectibles division. We are looking for a leading expert, on a freelance basis, in art, artworks and fine jewellery, able to advise an international private clientele (HNWI, UHNWI, family offices, collectors) in France and worldwide.
You are our clients' trusted adviser across the entire life cycle of a collection: acquisition, sale, valuation, transmission and conservation.
Your responsibilities :
- Advise our clients on the acquisition and sale of artworks, collectibles and fine jewellery (classical, modern and contemporary art, signature jewellery, collector's watches, precious stones).
- Conduct bespoke artwork sourcing and monitor auctions and the private market (international auction houses, galleries, dealers, art fairs).
- Lead due diligence: authentication, provenance, condition report, gemmological certificates, regulatory compliance and anti-money-laundering checks.
- Coordinate appraisals, estimates and valuations with our expert partners, gemmologists and auctioneers.
- Represent our clients discreetly at auctions, private negotiations and studio or collection visits.
- Organise high-end logistics: secure transport, insurance, framing, freeport storage, hanging and loans to institutions.
- Support collection and wealth-transmission strategies alongside our clients' family offices, private bankers, lawyers and tax advisers.
- Grow the AC PRIVATE network among galleries, auction houses, jewellers and foundations.
Required profile :
- Proven and verifiable experience (minimum 7 years) in art advisory, auction houses, art galleries, fine jewellery, gemmology or private collection management.
- Higher education in art history, art market, gemmology or equivalent, or market-recognised equivalent experience.
- An active international network: galleries, dealers, auction houses, jewellers, restorers, specialist shippers, fine art insurers.
- Fluent French and English required; a third language is a valued asset.
- Strong command of provenance, compliance (KYC/AML), insurance and taxation matters relating to cultural property.
- International mobility and availability for market appointments.

- Absolute discretion and strict confidentiality (non-disclosure agreement signed at the start of the relationship).
- Impeccable integrity and independence of judgement, free from conflicts of interest.
- A sure eye, documentary rigour and relational elegance.
Mandatory :
You must hold a self-employed / independent status (valid French SIRET or equivalent legal structure internationally) allowing you to invoice your services.
Conditions :
Location: France or international — remote assignment with travel depending on mandates.
Schedule: per assignment, according to your organisation and client requests.
Compensation: to be defined according to profile and experience (invoiced), complemented by commission on mandates introduced and closed.
